FMCS: Hi Eric how’s things?

Pretty good, staying busy

FMCS: Please tell us a little bit about yourself Eric! And how are your parts glued together.

Well, I’m from San Francisco but recently relocated to Los Angeles. I Live to Draw, Paint, and Design.

Besides studying illustration/ fine art at the Academy of Art University San Francisco for five years, I feel I’ve gained influence and knowledge through a life full of creative surroundings.

Skateboarding, music, graffiti, friends and fellow artists.

FMCS: Where are you currently living? And do you work out of the same location?

I’m recently moved into a loft in Downtown Los Angeles, where I work and live.

I have always wanted a home with enough space to work and live… I’m really happy about that.

FMCS: What/ who / thing kicked off your interest in illustration/design?

My Mom, her friends were always very supportive and inspiring through my child hood. Also early 80’s skateboard graphics and San Francisco Graf artists played a major role in inspiration.

FMCS: Are you exhibiting at the moment? Where can we see you? Also do you plan to exhibit more internationally?

No not at the moment. I usually show at White Walls gallery in San Francisco, great gallery with a insane family of artists.

I highly recommend you check it out if ever in San Francisco. Always a awesome show.

FMCS: Must have fashion accessory of the moment?

Shalom T shirt www.shalomclothing.com Birdsandbullets Converse Chuck Taylor by yours truly.

FMCS: Who’s inspiring you at the moment in the design/art industry?

So much inspiration coming from everywhere. A lot of my friends. Painters Kim Cogan, Joel Dugan, Shawn Barber. Designers All your Prey, Electric Heat.

FMCS: Can you do origami?

Do paper planes count?

FMCS: Eric tell us what flips your switch?

My girlfriend Arianna, gold jewelry, sunshine.

FMCS: How do you find people respond to your work? What’s been the strangest, funniest criticism you have received?

Some people like it and some don’t. doesn’t matter to me… Every body has a opinion that’s what makes us individuals.

One time I had a show in Portland at Compound gallery. I overheard a lady saying my work was complete trash, with no artistic integrity what so ever. Wow! … Seemed a bit extreme to me.

FMCS: Do you get a lot of inspiration to create from music?

Definitely. Music is the best thing ever created by man.

FMCS: How do you kick back and relax when you are not working?

Watch movies, drink wine, cook dinner with my girlfriend. That’s not very often though.
