i-mode FeliCa is a new service made possible by the connection of two platform technologies –NTT DoCoMo’s Internet service, i-mode, and Sony’s contact less IC technology, FeliCa.

 

i-mode FeliCa  allows you too use your mobile phone as a credit card, ticket, key, and much more…

 

On the credit card tip…i-mode FeliCa enables cashless shopping from a handset that stores e-money you can deposit in your account anytime, anywhere via i-mode.
Users need only wave their i-mode FeliCa handset across a compatible reader/writer (external device) on a vending machine or in a store to pay for goods smoothly and quickly without the hassles of carrying change.
