B EAST Magazine Launches Hip Portal to East Europe

B EAST Magazine, Eastern Europe’s provocative fashion/attitude glossy launches a hip portal to the New Europe. With weekly updates, beastly travel guides to cool cities in the region, thumbs up on hot DJs/bands/fashion designers/photographers, and embedded MP3 and video players it is set to become a one-stop for those interested in the zeitgeist of post-Communist Europe.

Recent posts have included the latest on Prague’s crazy for luxury, Poland’s homoerotic electro quartet, Dick4Dick, the relocation of a Studio 54 Legend to Kiev, Ukraine, and much more. In addition, the website, which was designed by Johnny from Feedmecoolshit.com, has the latest info on the B EAST itself, keeping readers abreast of new issues, magazine launches, parties, subscription information and travel updates from its roving editors.

Divided into different sections, that also reflect the divisions in the magazine itself, the website headers include Sexy Beast, East Tunes, Travel, and Distribution information on where to buy the magazine across Europe. It also spells out our vision in the Beastology section.

The magazine’s 10th ‘Foto’ issue, which includes rare images from the secretive breakaway Republic of Transnistria, backstage porn shots from Prague, and the ‘Ten Commandments of the B EAST’ for aspiring magazine publishers will be on newstands across Europe by April 25th.

Format Magazine issue 12 - Not a sausage in sight!

In celebration of women’s history month, and women in general, Format has rocked out with an all female issue for #12.

Some big names are featured, including: Mama Clothing, Claw Money, and Bijules, and true to form they also reached out to some ‘lesser knowns’ but fast rising stars, including graffiti artist EGR, fashion label Blood is the New Black, and chocolate maker Alison Nelson a strange selection maybe, but you’ll see why if you cop a gander.

We all know that the urban culture scene can be a little bit of a sausage fest, so it’s great that Format are really trying to expose the woman in this game on a greater level.

Lecool

le cool magazine is a weekly free magazine presenting a selection of concerts, DJs, exhibitions, odd movies and other cultural events and happenings.

It is also a very clever guide to selected cities most worthwhile bars, restaurants, shopping and other leisure experiences, without being necessarily trendy - just really informative.

Instead of printing and distributing as a paper magazine it is sent to its subscribers as a graphical e-mail, laid-out in horizontal format, with virtual pages as if it were a traditional magazine.

The first issue was published in Barcelona in February 2003. And ‘Le cool changed my life - a weird and wonderful guide to Barcelona’ was the first book project to be published, in September 2004.
