About Us

Here at FMCS we basically have a deep love of creativity at heart, twinned with an acute appreciation of how different creative media can provide ideas and fuel each other. We got frustrated looking at sites which are just dedicated to fashion, or sites that are just dedicated to web design. As far as we are concerned such websites are limited when it comes to providing inspiration or actively promoting the generation of new creative ideas in a broader sense. The essence of creativity is having an open mind. Let fashion ideas influence your web design; let illustration inspire your music generation, and let skate culture fuck it all up!

At FMCS we say mix and match and let your brain piece it all together in that special way that only YOUR brain can!

Johnny Huntington - Starter Uppa!

What can I say? I’am shy!

Luke McEvoy - Fashion Editor

Luke has been wearing clothes from the very minute he was born…. Okay, so probably the first thing he wore was a terry toweling nappy… but y’know it had that rock hard “punk look” safety pin on it.

Growing up in brown cord flares and red kickers, teenage years in drainpipe Farah’s, Sergio tracksuits and forest hills… a near disastrous brush with winkle pickers, back combed hair and long black jumpers led to a more successful marrying of MA1 flight jackets and BOY hats in the mid eighties.

But fashion is a thing so bad it has to change every 6 months so it wasn’t long before Luke settled into a more casual look …in fact is one of the few men alive to have successfully teamed parachute pants with a oversize trilby in MC Hammer .vs. Westwood fight to the death.

Luke has worked for many fashion institutions including MTV, BBC, RAPTURE, CULT CLOTHING, SPIEWAK, LEVIS and now owns one of the most important boutiques in Barcelona RIFT-SITGES… being the first shop to introduce such brands as DUFFER OF ST GEORGE, Y.M.C., FENCHURCH, LEVIS RED LINE, WE and ZOLTAR into Spain. Luke spends his time going to fashion shows, buying collections and eating free canapés at product launches.

He does not have a feather cut mullet haircut… and never wears earmuffs…ever.

A Lian – China Greetz

The capital of China became a second home in far east for our Austrian-exile globe trotter!
Beijing based FMCS crew member looks forward to induldge you with pieces from local artists and some others very worth putting in the spotlight.

A happy piggy year to everyone!

Olka Osadzinska

I LOVE MILK, and leaving The Shroud of Turin face mark on my towel after taking a bath. And I’m from Poland.

Marta Hadala

I go out a lot with my dog, therefore have time to listen to stuff on my iPod. I look for inspiration on My Space, watch a lot of U.S. TV shows, but my all time favorites are all UK produced! I also look at nice pictures, graphics and fashion, but think 250€ for a piece of cloth, even with a big Hermes logo on it, is an outrage!

Gabriel Etlaine

Gabriel has been a longstanding contributor to FMCS and his posts are always cultured and refined! Gabriel was born in South Africa, is of Swedish decent, a PR representative for a large AD firm based out of Paris, a perpetual gambler and general cad.

This young man’s lavish lifestyle is a much grasped product of his miss-spent youth and longing for the finer things in life. Always the sole provider of entertainment at any soirée when he chooses to grace us with his presence that is, when he is not trolling art galleries, or sipping on Merlot.

Richard B

FADE IN…….INT. NIGHT…

Realising that real life has no narrative or any good music in the background. He’s given up being alive in any sense that you or I would understand it, instead he’s retreated into a world of pictures and stories with some music that helps him work out what is going to happen next. He’s not coming out of his celluloid cave but he will share his extensive knowledge and immense amount of good taste with us.

He makes TV programs and the short occasional film. He has worked, on documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4, in genres as diverse as investigative journalism and reality TV, he currently has his first feature film in development.

Arlo - Our Man Abroad

Arlo is the perennial Englishman abroad. Having left the splendid Mediterranean shores of Spain (Barcelona) his current outpost is Gainesville, Florida. Here he is dabbling in an underground cult known as ‘capitalism’ in a town which is otherwise populated by leagues of keg-emptying students.

Self portraits call for such jive and fabrication so on the subject of himself he shall simply say that he is 30 years old and likes soup.

Arlo, by his own admission, is not an adept in any field in particular. Rather a collector of superficial knowledge from hither and thither. Therefore when charged with the job of resident gap-filler at FeedMeCoolShit.com he felt at long last he had found his niche in life.

Unfettered by such constraints as theme and the need for personal brilliance Arlo is very much looking forward to serving you random pickings on a menu of transatlantic blog-fodder.

We are always looking for new contributors and writers interested in having a public forum to divulge their good tastes and recommendations on every aspect of creative popular culture.

Our audience is very intelligent and active seekers/definers of the environment in which we all live. They contribute or create in goodwill, and with a passion unrivalled which ultimately benefits and promotes our daily visual and tactile pleasures.

Good creative deserves your support, it will always get ours, after all this principle forms the foundations on which this site was initially made.

If you have something great to offer our regular visitors then you’re always welcome here!
