Qiaobo-Nitro Snowboard Party

The “Qiaobo-Nitro Snowboard Party” will be held on the 22nd of July 2006 at the Qiaobo Ice & Snow World in Miyun County, Beijing Area.

The event schedules a show and an afternoon competition.

Qiaobo Ice & Snow World is an indoor ski resort, with two pists an temporarily set up funboxes, kickers and rails.

Within this growing market of Chinese wintersport enthusiasts, it is seen as a chance for snowboards fans to show their skills and passion for X-games. The judge of this party includes Wang Lei who is Chinas top Snowboarder.

Nitro was founded in the USA, Seattle, in 1990. In China, the company focuses on the popularization of snowboard through technical improvements regarding the equipment such as snowboards, bindings and boots.

You may have noticed the pedantic arguments issuing recently between contributors to these pages over spelling, “Americanization” and intellectual grandstanding.

My advice to those who wish to seek a short cut to being well read (and more importantly to appear to have actually retained anything of use) would be a quick visit to one of the many “quotation” dumps to be found on the net.

And they are not all quotes from philosophers of whom you have never heard.
