ANDRE THE GIANT HAS A MARKETING MANAGER.

I saw my first “Andre the Giant has a posse” sticker in the changing rooms of the cult-clothing store in Oxford in about 1995. Since then the sticker campaigns and poster art of Shepard Fairey had developed in the now ubiquitous OBEY Giant sticker and stencil art to be seen all across the world…

Naturally he has expanded to t-shirt prints and a clothing line…although on his web site you cans till get plenty of free downloads….

Shepard Fairy: Site

(Also as a further addition to this post I would like to point out that although visually arresting, the work of Shepard Fairy, as also Banksy has serious activist undertones. To fully understand the meaning and the message as to what drives activist art please
view ‘The New World Order’ footage at You Tube and Google for a very scary although clearer picture. If you don’t understand the meanings behind these pieces they will serve better an alternative precedence of further numbing down your senses rather than lifting you out of the fog - Johnny).

FASHION AND A NICE BREAKFAST!

I am going to London next weekend to visit TBC and MARGIN fashions shows… Once again I shall visit Taylor’s of Old Bond Street (actually in Jermyn Street) to pick up my gentleman’s toiletries and then pop along to Fortnum’s for a late breakfast!

So I will arrive at both shows full of bacon and eggs, and smelling like a 1920’s gent ‘dontcha no… what?’ (I might even wear spats).

Should you see me at the shows, say hello and I may be so kind as to place you on the gentleman’s daily FMCS.
