Saatchi Your Gallery

The famous Saatchi brothers have set up a website for their equally famous gallery - The Saatchi Gallery - soon to move locations from it’s current building, but that’s another story.

Along with all the famous shit they have a section of the website called your gallery and it’s - well it’s just that you can post your own art on it and then people can see it , buy it , ignore it and whatever they want.

The art is displayed randomly and a lot of it is very good. It is a great way to see art and be seen.

A big feather in the already large Saatchi art hat.

Art above by George W Kitching.

Wassup Rockers by Larry Clark

Ten years after Kids, Larry Clark hits the streets of South Central Los Angeles.

WASSUP ROCKERS is a story based on real life experiences of a group of Latino teenagers who, instead of conforming to the hip hop culture of their gang infested neighborhood, wear their clothes tight, listen to and play punk rock, and ride their skateboards.

Constantly harassed for being different, they have to fight to be themselves. One morning they take two city buses into Hollywood to skate the famous Nine Stairs at Beverly Hills High that they always see in the popular skateboard videos. While there, they catch the attention of some rich white Beverly Hills girls leading to trouble with the girls boyfriends as well as the police.

The police bust them simply because theyre there (you dont belong here) and they escape into Beverly Hills where they meet up with the girls and a variety of Beverly Hills characters, getting into really big trouble as they are chased by the police and residents. The boys have to get away and try to make their way to the (relative) safety of South Central.

De La Soul Return Again!

De La Soul ARE BACK and whoa are the back with effect! ‘’Impossible Mission’ is De La Souls best album to date. Consistently good, and always pushing things forward.

Like the aptly named track 6 ‘Go Out And get It’
