Eio is an east London based clothing label specializing in the creation of unique off-kilter garments that stand out from the shelves and stick in the head.
Comprised of a group of Goldsmiths graduates with a versatile eye towards art and design, Eio also creates oil-painted album covers, flyers and tour merchandise for high-profile musicians and bands and are set to do bad things in 2006.
Opposed to the regurgitation of licensed print imagery and half-baked design, Eio treads a line between high-end street wear, directional style and work of art, with a focus on bold intricate patterns and graphics, with experimental cuts and print styles.
For spring/summer 2006, Eio adds to its already well-developed range with a collection of bold, sleazy men’s and women’s tees, jumpers and hoodies that sit well on the dance floor and in the street.
For 2006, excess is ok and the collection features a range of images and motifs including smashed televisions, fast women, racy horses, disco balls, pearl necklaces and lucky dice, expressed in seam to seam prints and embroidered stitching in an electro color scheme.
All designs are held together on highest quality sweatshop-free cotton and produced in the UK.
After recent appearances in Drapers, Disorder Magazine, UK Vogue, Nuts, Italian Sport and Street, shows in Paris and London, as well as further collaborations with other artists, Eio is set to spread like bird flu.
